What is Jassby? (kids)
We're glad you asked. Jassby is a secure mobile payment system that you can use on your iPhone to receive money from your parents and grandparents for any reason. They can send you money for allowances, chores, academic achievements, winning that soccer match, or anything at all. Then, you can use the money to shop within the app at top retailers approved by your parents.
Is there a minimum age to use Jassby?
There is no specific age requirement to use Jassby, but we find it ideal for kids between the ages of 10 and 17. You can download the app and create an account, but your parent must connect and consent to enable all of its functionalities. If your parent doesn't provide consent (by creating an account and adding a funding source) within 2 weeks of your account creation, your account will be deleted.
How do I sign up? (kids)
We've made signing up as simple as possible. You can enter your email address or choose a social icon: Facebook, Google, or Amazon.
How does shopping work?
We've made shopping a great experience with Jassby. We have many of the top shops that kids love. First, click on the shopping cart icon. Select a shop and start browsing. After you choose your desired items for purchase, proceed to the checkout. Jassby takes care of the payment information without you having to enter it. Finally, tap the buy button to complete the purchase.
How do I donate money to charities?
Click on the shopping cart icon and then, the "Do Good" category. Choose your charity, click donate, then log in at the prompt with your Jassby credentials. Then, you'll be able to choose the amount of your donation and send it instantly.
Are there limits on spending? (kids)
Yes. Until your parent's first billing cycle has been completed, you may spend a maximum of $75 per day with Jassby and you may only purchase one gift card, at a maximum cost of $20. After your parent's first billing cycle has been completed, you may spend a maximum of $200 per day within the app, including any gift card purchases. Please note that you can never spend more money than you have available in your Jassby account.
How do I move money between budgets?
First, click on the dollar sign. Then, click "Transfer Money". Select the budget from which you are moving the funds: General, Clothes, Food or School. Select the budget into which you want to move the funds. Select the amount you are moving, and swipe up to confirm. You'll be asked for your PIN, Face ID, or Touch ID.
Why does a parent need to be added to a Jassby account?
Jassby is a money app designed for families. A parent must provide a funding source and provide consent for you to use the app.
How can I contact support?
There are three ways to contact support: live chat through the app or the web app, email at firstname.lastname@example.org, and phone at (831) 274-7330.
When is live support available?
Live support is available weekdays, between 9:00 AM EST and 5:00 PM EST. Please feel free to reach out to us and someone will be available to assist you.
How can I return an item that I purchased through the app?
Just follow the store's standard return policies.
Is Jassby free or am I charged for using it?
There is no fee for using Jassby.
Does Jassby support iPhones/iOS only?
Jassby's mobile app is only available to on iOS devices, and kids may only use the mobile app. Parents can use Jassby on the mobile app and the web app (via www.Jassby.com).
Should I enable push notifications? (kids)
We think you'll have a better Jassby experience if you enable push notifications. Push notifications give you confirmation of transactions and help you monitor your account. To enable them, click on your profile picture, and then navigate to "Notification Settings" in the device menu.
Will I get a notification when my purchase completes?
When there's activity happening in your account, like a purchase, we'll send you a notification. Some people like to be notified for every purchase, some don't want notifications at all. Please enable/disable push notifications to your preference.
How do I link my parent's Jassby account to my Jassby account?
On your home screen, click, "Join a Family." Send your parent a request to join using their Jassby Code, or send them an email or an iMessage. Your parent will need to approve your request.
What is a Jassby Code?
A Jassby Code is a unique 6-digit code that identifies each Jassby user. This code can be found under every user's profile picture. To link with family members, click "Join a Family" on your home screen, and enter their Jassby Code.
