Do you restrict items kids shouldn't buy? (parents)
Jassby takes your children’s safety seriously. We attempt to block thousands of items that are illegal or age-restricted, such as alcohol, firearms, tobacco, and medications.
Should I enable push notification?
We think you’ll have a better Jassby experience if you enable push notifications. Push notifications give you confirmation of transactions and help you monitor your account. To enable them, click on your profile picture, and then navigate to “Notification Settings” in the Device menu.
What is Jassby? (parents)
We're glad you asked. Jassby is a secure mobile payment system that you can use both on your iPhone and on the web to give money to your kids for any reason. You can give them money for allowances, chores, academic achievements, winning that soccer match, or anything at all. They can then use the money to shop within the app at top retailers approved by you.
Is there a minimum age for kids to use Jassby?
There is no specific age required to use Jassby, however we find that it is ideal for kids between the ages of 10 and 17. A kid of any age can download the app and create an account, but a parent must connect and consent to enable all the functionalities.
How do I sign up? (parents)
We've made signing up as simple as possible. You can enter your email address or choose a social icon: Facebook, Google or Amazon.
I'd like to add my bank account to the app, but my bank is not listed. Can I still use Jassby?
Yes. Browse the list of banks available in the "Bank Account" section of the "Add Funding Source" tab on your home screen or the "Funding" tab in your account menu. If you don't see your bank, use the search bar to search for it. If your bank is not listed, add your debit card instead.
Am I required to connect both a debit card and bank account to the app?
No. You only need to connect one of them.
What happens if I connect both a debit card and a bank account to the app?
The latest funding source that you added is utilized first.
How much money can I send to my child per day?
You may send up to $75 per day until we have successfully debited your bank account or charged your debit card. After your first billing cycle has been completed, you may send up to $200 per day.
Are there limits on spending? (parents)
Yes. Until your first billing cycle has been completed, you and your child may each spend a maximum of $75 per day with Jassby and you may each purchase only one gift card, at a maximum cost of $20. After your first billing cycle has been completed, your child may spend a maximum of $200 per day within the app, including any gift card purchases. Please note that your child can never spend more money than he or she has available in his or her Jassby account.
How do activities work?
It's easy to add an activity. Just click "Add Activity" on your home screen or click the burger icon in the navigation bar at the bottom of your home screen. Then, fill in the required fields.
How do allowances work?
A parent can set up a recurring allowance that can be given to a child on a weekly or monthly basis. To initiate a recurring allowance, click on your child's profile on your home screen. Now click "Allowance" in the Settings menu. Choose the desired frequency and amount of the allowance. You may set up one recurring allowance per child.
Can parents shop with the Jassby app?
We're glad you asked, and the answer is, "Yes!" Both kids and parents can use Jassby to shop at dozens of top retailers. In fact, you can download the app and sign up right now to try it out for yourself. (Who knows, you may end up using Jassby as much as your kids do!)
How does shopping work? (parents)
We've made shopping a great experience with Jassby. We have many of the top shops that your kids love. First, click on the shopping cart icon at the bottom of your home screen. Select a shop and start browsing. After you choose your desired items for purchase, proceed to check out. Jassby takes care of the payment information without you having to enter it. Finally, tap the "Buy" button to complete the purchase.
How do we donate money to charities?
Click on the shopping cart icon and then, the "Do Good" category. Choose your charity, click donate, then log in at the prompt with your Jassby credentials. Then, you'll be able to choose the amount of your donation and send it instantly.
How do I move money between budgets? (parents)
First, click on the dollar sign in the navigation bar at the bottom of your home screen. Then, click “Transfer Money.” Select the budget from which you are moving the funds: General, Clothes, Food or School. Select the budget into which you want to move the funds. Select the amount you are moving, and swipe up to confirm. You’ll be asked for your PIN, Face ID, or Touch ID.
How can I contact support? (parents)
There are three ways to contact support: live chat through the app or the web app, email at firstname.lastname@example.org, and phone at (831) 274-7330.
When is live support available? (parents)
Live support is available weekdays, between 9:00 AM EST and 5:00 PM EST. Please feel free to reach out to us and someone will be available to assist you.

Will I get a notification when my kid makes a purchase?
Yes, we provide real-time notifications of any purchase activity on your account.
Will I get notified when my bank account is debited or my debit card is charged?
Yes, you will get a notification. Please enable push notifications on your phone to receive them.
Where can I see my statements?
In the app, click on your profile picture on your home screen. In the settings menu, click on "Statements" and choose a month to see the details. On the web app, "Statements" can be found on the left side of your home screen.
Can I open a bank account through Jassby?
No, we do not offer banking services or hold your funds. Please stay tuned, as we are always working to enhance our users' experience.
How can I return an item purchased through the app?
Just follow the store’s standard return policies.
I'm worried about security. How do you keep my information safe?
Is Jassby free or am I charged for using it? (parents)
There is no fee for using Jassby.
Does Jassby support iPhones/iOS only? (parents)
Jassby’s mobile app is only available on iOS devices. Parents can use Jassby on the mobile app and the web app (via www.Jassby.com).
How do I use the Jassby web app?
Go to Jassby.com on your desktop or laptop. If you are a new user, click "Sign Up" and follow the directions. If you are a returning user, click "Log In." The Jassby web app works seamlessly with the mobile app. Your dashboard lets you add kids, set allowances, chores and activities, transfer money, see statements and set merchant controls.
How do I change my payment type?
You can fund Jassby with your bank account or debit card. If you want to change your funding source, simply delete one and add the new source.
Can I block merchants?
You have total control to block any merchant. In the mobile app, click on your profile picture, then click on "Family" in the Settings menu. If you have more than one kid, choose one. Then click on "Merchant Control." Just toggle to block or unblock any merchant. On the web app, click on "Family," then click on the child to implement the merchant controls.

How will Jassby debits show up on my bank statement?
Debits for purchases made by your family members through the app will show up as "Jassby" on your bank statement.
How do I add my child or a grandparent to my Jassby account?
Click on your profile picture on your home screen. Then, select "Family" from the Settings menu. Click on the "Invite Family Member" tab (the tab with the "+" sign). Send them a request to join using their Jassby code, if they have one, or send them an email or an iMessage. The family organizer will need to approve your request.
What is a Jassby Code? (parents)
A Jassby Code is a unique 6-digit code that identifies each Jassby user. The Jassby Code can be found under every user's profile picture. To connect with family members, enter their Jassby Code.
